Do LED Pendant Lights Need CE Certification ?
Round linear pendant light made in China export to European Union countries are required to pass CE certification. CE certification includes two parts: safety certification test (LVD) and Electromagnetic compatibility certification (EMC).
LED lamps exported to Europe require following certification
1. CE certification
All LED lamps included modern circular round linear lights sold in the EU market need to pass CE certification, which is the EU's basic safety requirement for products. CE certification is the EU compulsory certification. LED lamps need to comply with the requirements of relevant EU directives, including the LVD directive and the RoHS directive.
2. RoHS certification
LED lamps also need to comply with RoHS certification requirements. RoHS certification is about the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances. Hazardous substances such as mercury, lead, and hexavalent chromium in LED lamps need to comply with EU restrictions.
3. REACH certification
REACH certification is the European Union's regulations on the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemicals. It mainly imposes various restrictions and regulations on the types and scope of uses of chemicals to prevent chemicals from causing harm to the human body and the environment. If LED lamps contain chemical ingredients, they need to obtain REACH certification.
4. IP level certification
IP grade certification is a standard certification for the waterproof and dustproof capabilities of electronic equipment. LED lamps need to meet the relevant requirements of IP grade to ensure the adaptability of the product in different environments.
5. VDE or GS certification
Mainly applicable to the German market, it is the collective name for German product safety certification. If LED lamps are to enter the German market, they need to obtain VDE or GS certification.
6. ENEC certification
Mainly applicable to lamps in the European market, it is an alliance certification system for EU countries. If LED lamps are to be sold in the European market, they need to obtain ENEC certification.
LED lamps exported to Europe need to meet the above certification requirements to ensure product safety and compliance with relevant standards. When choosing an LED lighting supplier, you need to pay attention to whether it has obtained the corresponding certification, and understand its certification status to ensure the compliance of export products.
