What certificate you need when export led indoor lighting ?

When LED indoor lighting products are exported to different countries, they will encounter restrictions in regulations and standards, which requires us LED lighting product exporters to comply with their standards.LED indoor lighting products are exported to different countries and require different certifications.

 

From the market structure,the US and North American markets,the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) market, the German and EU markets, the UK and the Middle East markets are still the main markets for my country's lighting product exports.

 

Here are some major market Certificate you need to know

1. European Market

The European market requires CE certification, EMC certification, ERP certification, REACH certification, etc. CE certification is an EU compulsory certification, proving that products comply with the requirements of relevant EU directives; EMC certification is electromagnetic compatibility certification, ensuring that products will not cause electromagnetic interference to other equipment and systems; ERP certification is energy efficiency certification, proving that products comply with EU energy efficiency standards

 

UKCA certification

UK Conformity Assessed Short for UKCA. From January 1, 2021, this system will replace the European common system CE marking. Due to the epidemic, the deadline for use of the CE mark has been extended from January 1, 2022 to January 1, 2025. This means that after December 31, 2024, the British government will no longer recognize products with CE marks for sale in the British market, and manufacturers need to replace all original CE marks with UKCA marks in advance.

 

2. North American Market

North America requires UL certification and CUL certification. The US market requires FCC certification, UL certification, Energy Star certification, DLC certification, CSA certification, etc.

FCC certification is to verify whether the product meets the radio frequency requirements of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission;

UL certification is a U.S. safety laboratory certification to prove that the product meets the safety standards of the United States and Canada;

Energy Star certification is an energy efficiency standard certification launched by the U.S. Department of Energy.

DLC Certification is also an energy efficiency standard certification, which is a category of lighting fixtures not included in Energy Star certification.

 

3. Oceania Market

The Oceania market is mainly Australia and New Zealand.

Australia requires SAA certification, MEPS certification, RCM certification, etc. SAA certification is an Australian safety certification, proving that products comply with Australian safety standards; MEPS certification is an Australian energy efficiency standard certification; RCM certification is an Australian electrical safety certification.

 

4.Middle East Market

The Middle East market requires CB certification, SASO certification, NEMKO certification, IECEE certification, etc. CE-LVD certification is the certification of the European Union Low Voltage Directive; CB certification is the certification of the International Electrotechnical Commission; SASO certification is the certification of the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization; NEMKO certification is the certification of the Norwegian Electrical Standards Organization; IECEE certification is the electrical products of the International Electrotechnical Commission and certification of component conformity assessment systems.
