What is the best UGR for Circular Light ?

 

LED Circular Lights are widely used for indoors, such as offices,shops,stores,etc. For office lighting,we recommend a UGR level of 16 to 19, ensuring comfortable workplace illumination.

 

UGR (Unified Glare Rating) an evaluation index for indoor discomfort glare proposed by CIE. UGR  is a psychological parameter that measures the subjective reaction of discomfort caused by light emitted by a lighting device in the visual environment to the human eye. Its value can be calculated according to the unified glare formula published by the International Commission on Illumination.

 

Unified Glare Rating is measured for an installation, not for a lighting fitting.A UGR can only be calcualted for indoor lighting installation.UGR values are based on regular patterns and fittings according to European indoor lighting recommendations CIE standard. UGR10-30, a high value indicates significant glare, a low value indicates little possibility of glareA lower UGR rating means low glare.
